Feedback?

Hello Everyone!  As most of you already know, I am the PI on an NSF grant that gives scholarships to students and supports them through internship/authentic experiences.  I designed and submitted the grant proposal and this is the first semester of implementation.  We made our first awards last week and I am just dealing with all the glitches in setting up a new system for the first time.  I am excited though, it is my intention to follow this research through and use it in my dissertation.  If you have any interest, feel free to check out the mentor/internship network I have set up for the students at http://s-stemmentor.blogspot.com.  This is a blog network based on experience I had with mentoring students through undergraduate research experiences - you can check out the old model at http://pcbiointerns2011.blogspot.com/.  I am attempting to create an online cohort for these students as most are non-traditional and the typical university model cohort hasn't worked well with this population in the past.  Any feedback you happen to have would be most welcome.

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well. For those taking history of education  I wonder what your thoughts are on the textbook we had to buy. When I started reading it I thought " what the hell is this". Then I realized it was written in the heyday of social darwinism. I particularly liked page 8 where he describes my family in Australia as "savages" with " arrested social development". Pity there is nothing more contemporary to use as a text.
